I am currently working in Ireland as a Special Needs Assistant, I have 7 years experience and a certificate in Special Needs. I am curious as to know what qualifications would I need to work as a Special Needs Assistant in the UK. Would my experience and course suffice or what would I need to enable me to work as a SNA there or anywhere else in the world? Would very much appreciate advice from anyone who has knowledge in regards to this topic.

First of all, this is to clarify that here is not an attempt to teach or preach each other, but to share ideas so that all may benefit … the words knowledge and belief are big words and I want to ensure that I understand them fairly correctly so that I am understood properly myself. The word belief does not necessarily mean religious beliefs, or beliefs based upon faith. It means certain knowledge - or knowledge without doubt. If I have a thorough knowledge of medical science, for instance, then I believe that there is a cure for malaria, but I also believe that the cure for cancer could also be found. The first is the belief based upon the certainty of my knowledge, but the later, entirely upon my faith, hope and all that I know about science, its promise. Thanks taking time to answer my question. You have been very kind! I will appreciate any ideas from you that I might have overlooked. Thanks for your very comprehensible and most valuable answers so far!

    • I accidentally bought one while looking for a replacement for my bent lawnmower blade. It is a universal kit, so it seems like it would fit on okay. But, some people are telling me that it isn't as good as a regular blade and is generally used by farmers etc. Would this blade be better than my old blade? Be able to cut high grass etc.? Can I basically do everything I wanted to do with it or should I just go buy a new one? I understand that mulching cuts down on waste somehow, and is good for the soil. This seems a good thing, but I don't want to sacrifice anything in the process.

Reading the manuscript consumes more time and I'm sure that the author or editor is well versed with the story and these people may retell the story to the designer, and probably throw in a few points about what they want. Usually, what happens? Do book cover designers (for thick books like novels) read the manuscript first before designing or do they rely on the instructions of the client?

    • Well ever since I was born I have been allergic to metal. I cant wear metal watches, metal necklaces, or metal bracelets without breaking out into rashes. I get rashes on my waste right below my belly button from metal button on jeans. I get rashes on my thigh for having change in my pocket to long. I get rashes on my nipple or close to my nipple when Im wearing my name tag at work cause the clip is made from metal and when I was a baby I use to get little cirlce red rashes down the middle of my chest from those metal circle buttons on one piece baby suits. All my life I have had this and so I was wondering is there a technically term for this?
